Redneck engineered/fabber cobbled this in the work shop. Poured the sand out of the plastic bag it came in, got an extra reusable shopping bag, a funnel that the end fits into the feed tube for my sand blaster. I cut the funnel down so it was just the tip and an inch or so of the bowl. Then i cut a hole in the bottom of both bags. Put the plastic bag inside the shopping bag. Put the funnel through the holes. A little duck tape and a hose clamp keeps the sand pouring into the gun. Just have to hold the gun upside-down. Massive improvement.
Full setup
Elegantly hung from a really long drywall screw that is super dull from being reused a bunch. Is this a chandelier?
Close up of funnel nub. Cloud guy says hi.
Aw yiss! Getting those hard to reach places.

Nice work! You could rig up a few bags if you wanted to use different media, too!

I like the gravity feed idea, but this looks like a good way to cover everything in your garage with a thin layer of grit. :(

Nothing a leaf blower can’t take care of. If you’re not filthy you’re not Rich amirite?

True, I’m just thinking if you didn’t want to cross contaminate.

The gun off of amazon costs $45 and another $15 for good quality media.

This is the one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/Sand-Blaster-Foot-Blast-Wrench/dp/B0007D30DO/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=media+gun&qid=1560451277&s=gateway&sr=8-16
Only $ 23 The feed tube on mine was perished so I had to replace it but that was like $5

Had issues with the suction feed since you did this? Might need to convert the sandblasting cabinet i built to do this.

The suction feed wasn’t the best. This helps it push more send then before when it was sucking it out of the bucket on the floor.

Please tell me you are taking some respiratory precautions. Fine air particulate is no joke.

Yeah I’ve got a 3m respirator and safety googles

Yeah, I had enough black boogers from grinding rust and what not that I invested in some safety equipment. I’ll kill my lungs on my own terms!
